Test Credit for IJS Protocol
In accordance with USFS Rules, athletes may receive test credit for meeting minimum scores at any competition held under the International Judging System (IJS). The athlete must “skate up” to the event they are seeking test credit for, in addition to having already passed any prerequisites prior to the competition event.
Eligible competition levels are:
- Singles Free Skate – Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior, Senior, and Adult Gold
- Pairs Free Skate – Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior, and Senior
- Partnered Free Dance – Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior, and Senior
- Solo Free Dance – Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior, and Senior
Skaters will be required to submit 3 documents to the club’s test chair along with their form and fee. These documents must be collected from the host competition before the end of a competition in which the skater received the minimum score for test credit. There may be a fee charged by the host club of the competition for this “test credit packet.” You will not be able to contact a host club or accountant from the competition after it has concluded to request a “test credit packet.” Please click here for additional details about the specific documents needed and steps for getting test credit through nonqualifying competitions. Note: The competition host club may have additional requirements in handling the test credit packet request, such as having you request the packet before your event. Please be sure to check with the host club of the competition for all the necessary information.
St. Moritz home club members should submit their IJS paperwork and required information by email after registering online at the club’s EntryEeze website. Register under the “Submit IJS Protocol for Test Credit” session under Testing. Please note, the “test date” and “test deadline” shown on the online portal are placeholders only and can be ignored. Skaters may submit their IJS paperwork for test credit at any time during the season. Test credit paperwork must be submitted within two weeks after the competition date where the test credit score was earned.
Once you have paid for the IJS protocol submission for test credit, e-mail the required documentation to the test chair, (email: testchair@stmoritzisc.org)
Your coach must review your protocol sheet and approve it as well. Please provide the Coach’s Approval Form (see below) to your coach. The completed and signed form may be emailed to the test chair along with your required documentation.
